With sod 2 the quality of life updates are amazing. To me both games are good, very different from each other. End of the day you have your own opinions.

Sod 2 i can replay endlessly with self challenges and harder difficulties. Yea its a normal thought for most from 1 to 2, sod 1 was a good story. You can do challenge runs to make it harder. Sod 2 is a make your own story, there is heartland for a story in sod 2 so play that it is a little harder too.
